DESCRIPTION: DIST 62 CONTINGENCY CONTRACT FOR DISASTER DEBRIS REMOVAL NHS and NON-NHS ROUTES ROUTE: PRIMARY WORK DISTRICT WIDE, WITH POTENTIAL FOR ADDITIONAL WORK STATEWIDE PARISHES: LIVINGSTON, ST. HELENA, ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST, ST. TAMMANY, TANGIPAHOA AND WASHINGTON (DOTD MAY REQUEST EMERGENCY WORK IN ADDITIONAL PARISHES, AS CIRCUMSTANCES DICTATE). The scope of this contract is to remove, reduce, and dispose of all debris from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development’s Roads, Bridges, and Rights-of-Way (ROW) within the DOTD Regions covered in the Notice to Contractors. The debris will be the result of an event of a major natural or man-made disaster. The area to be included as part of this contract is located on the State owned roads, bridges, and within the State owned right-of-ways. The Contractor shall provide equipment, operators, laborers, and supervision for debris removal, reduction, and disposal of all debris from the Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) Right-of-Ways within the appropriate Region(s). All debris removal and disposal will be in accordance with: Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality’s Comprehensive Plan for Disaster Clean-up and Debris Management (Most Current Version); all Local and State Burning Requirements (if burning is allowed); FEMA Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation Grant Program and FHWA Emergency Relief Program. The Contractor is responsible for acquiring/obtaining, setting-up/developing, maintaining, operating, and properly closing-out all debris management sites used for staging and reduction sites.
