This RFR seeks one or more well-qualified Contractors to act as a hearing officers for CHIA. Respondents to this RFR must have expertise as a hearing officer and familiarity with administrative law. These services are expected to be provided on a fee-for-service, as needed basis. There is no guarantee as to the minimum number of hearings that may be assigned in any given year. The Contractor shall: Conduct adjudicatory hearings pursuant to G.L. 30A and 801 CMR 1.00, and preside over associated procedural and evidentiary matters including drafting of final decisions, as assigned by CHIA’s Office of the General Counsel. Provide services as needed as a CHIA hearing officer to consider appeals from decisions of CHIA to fine entities required by law to report health care or financial information to CHIA or to review any other matters as assigned relative to CHIA’s business. CHIA conducts hearings pursuant to G.L. c. 30A and 801 CMR 1.00.
