A. Contractor shall supply FTTPDirect Ethernet Services as specified below. 1. FTTP Direct Ethernet Services: Contractor shall provide services to connect direct ethernet private network service at 10gb symmetric, providing full-rate, dedicated, point-to-point bandwidth from AACPS equipment at all 130 locations concurrently (Attachment A) to AACPS Headquarters in Annapolis. a) Contractor shallinstalltheir equipment andextend their service to the specified AACPS network closet at each location, usually the Main Distribution Frame (MDF).AACPS will provide ACpowerforthe contractor's equipment if needed, atthe data rack in theAACPS data closet. If contractor's equipment is needed, AACPS will connect ethernet cabling from the contractor's equipment to the AACPS network. b) Contractor shall furnish redundant connectivity at all 130 locations to ensure continuity of operations when primary service is unavailable. AACPS expects the redundancy offering will be a minimum of 1/10th the primary service throughput to meet industry standard guidance. c) Contractor shall provide for scalable bandwidth offerings should AACPS bandwidth requirements increase during the term. AACPS reserves the right to request additional bandwidth for any of the 130 locations, in 10Gb increments, at the award price and will be within the same terms and conditions of this agreement. d) Contractor shall provide redundancy for the FTTP offering at the hub of a secondary aggregation point, which will be hosted by the provider. AACPS expects the redundancy offering will enable bidirectional communication with the primary aggregation point in the event of a primary service failure at any location. 2. Handoff:Contractor shallprovide a fiber ethernet handoff. This handoff must have the ability to transport the full bandwidth ofthe FTTP Direct Ethernet Service at each location. AACPS currently has Cisco layer three equipment to accept contractor handoff. 3. Availability: Contractor shall state their network availability as a percentage of 24hours in a day (excluding scheduled maintenance in agreed upon maintenance windows).
