1. Provide the BGVC’s residents with laboratory services as ordered by the attending physician/nurse practitioner and to notify the BGVC of the test results. 2. Provide BGVC and attending physician/nurse practitioner with the tests results through integration with our PointClickCare electronic medical record platform. 3. Comply with all federal and state laws and regulations governing laboratory services. The vendor will also notify BGVC of any policy changes derived from current state and federal regulations as they affect the laboratory services. 4. Make all laboratory services available to all residents without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, age, sex, religion, or handicap. 5. Provide BGVC with cumulative laboratory reports if and when they become available. 6. Provide orientation in-services to BGVC directly related to the use of laboratory services such as completing the requisitions and proper collection and handling of specimens. Reference documents will also be provided. 7. All representatives from the services the Vendor provides must have the mandatory backgrounds checks required by the OBRA Regulations 483.13(c)(1)(ii); 483.75(b); 483.75(g)(1); 483.75(g)(2). Vendor is responsible for ensuring none of their employees, representatives, independent vendors has been suspended, debarred, excluded or ineligible to participate in federal health care programs, which includes Medicaid and Medicare. Vendor will provide copies of necessary background checks if requested by State Survey Agency (OIG) or regulatory agency.
