he Department of Employment Services, Labor Standards Bureau, Office of Hearings and Adjudication/Administrative Hearings Division seeks the services of a qualified vendor to provide verbatim stenographic and transcription services of formal hearings and prehearing conferences (as needed). These formal hearings are conducted by Administrative Law Judges retained by the Office of Hearings and Adjudication/Administrative Hearings Division for the purpose of conducting evidentiary hearings to ascertain the rights of injured workers and their employers in the District of Columbia. The contractor shall provide in-person court reporting services on an as needed basis with the understanding that on occasion, a minimum of four (4) court reporters may be required and that seventy percent (70%) of the formal hearings settle within 24 – 48 hours prior to the day of the hearing or on the day of the hearing. The contractor shall only provide virtual court reporting services for virtual hearings and proceedings on an as needed basis.
