This solicitation provides for the supply, installation and associated services for an Automatic vertical pivot gate & operators, pedestrian access gate and fencing for use by FAST in its daily transit operations. The Contract shall be for a period time as needed for completion of project. Bidders must specify a fixed rate for this service. There will be no other rate adjustments once the Contract has been executed except as specified herein. All product or services to be provided must meet the specifications listed in Section 2A of this RFP. The successful bidder shall be solely and completely responsible for furnishing and delivering the product(s) or service(s) that meet these specifications in every aspect. FAST follows a procurement process that ensures free and open competition and requires that prices be verified as fair and reasonable. B. Description The proposer shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to make the automatic slide gate system operational. Proposer shall also provide a detailed plan for implementation, cutover and project management. The proposal must offer FAST a suitable transition path from the current environment into the new environment and the proposer will be required to install, test, cutover, train on and warrant all aspects of the proposed solution. FAST will be responsible for having underground utilities marked prior to construction. The Contractor shall, without additional expense to FAST, be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses and permits, and for complying with any federal, state, and municipal laws, codes, and regulations applicable to the performance of the work. Although FAST desires to award a contract to a single vendor, the agency is mindful that the best value and experience may be represented by multiple contractors. Considering this, the FAST will evaluate bids for any single scope area, any combination of two of the following scope areas, or the complete scope: 1. Gate & Fence Components 2. Access Control & Configuration The Contractor’s scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1) Gate & Fence Components a) Contractor shall install an Industrial/Commercial Duty 1x (HP) Hysecurity, or compatible Slide Gate Operator and all safety associated appurtenances. (Monitored Reflective Photo Eyes and Monitored Safety Edge). All safety appurtenances shall meet the latest Edition of Federal, State, and Local Regulations. Gate Operator shall have a (1) year minimum WARRANTY. b) Contractor shall install a 25ft * 8ft dual track aluminum chain link gate and related hardware. Gate to be connected to existing fence and have new 5x 4in steel posts. c) Contractor shall install Loop Detection Devices for Slide Gate and in asphalt loops detectors inside of the parking lot. d) Contractor shall install a square Gooseneck Style metal post with a keypad. e) Contractor shall remove and replace all wiring from breaker panel to slide gate operator and keypad. All electrical wiring shall be placed in electrical grade conduit from the breaker panel box to entry gate operator and all safety components. All wiring shall meet the latest Edition of Federal, State, and Local Standards. 2) Access Control & Configuration a) Contractor shall install a Door King or compatible to existing Automated Access Operator system. It shall include an AWID Long Range Reader, power supply, mounting bracket and any other related components. b) Contractor shall haul off and dispose all materials and restore project site to original condition or better. Dimensions given for bidding purposes. Contractorto field verify dimensions prior to ordering materials. C. Objectives The Contractor is to have experience installing ornamental gates as well as automated systems to ensure that installation is done correctly. Contractor is to install as per manufacturer’s specifications.
