A. Site Preparation: The site to be used is in Community Park. This is the replacement of a play structure. All demolition will be performed by the City of Henderson and the installation site will be level. There may be the remains of existing play surfacing in the area. The approximate area of this new playground may be up to approximately 2,100 square feet based on existing space in the area. Any playground proposed must meet this space criteria. The City of Henderson will supply an onsite location for the disposal of waste and trash during the installation. The City of Henderson will remove any excess soil left on site following installation. B. Playground Equipment: Each proposer should submit no more than 2 composite play structures. All submitted plans must meet all applicable ASTM standards. NPSI, and CPSC recommendations. All pieces must be of commercial grade materials. Any playground proposal SHOULD HAVE the following characteristics: a. All fastening hardware should be stainless steel b. All upright posts should be powder coated and at least 4” outside diameter. 5” posts are preferred c. minimum Lifetime limited warranty on support posts (uprights) d. minimum 5-year limited warranty on cables and hardware e. the proposed play structure and all use zones must fit within the proposed replacement area. f. all composite playgrounds must meet all ADA recommendations and requirements g. all playgrounds proposed must allow for 60 concurrent users minimum. h. Do not include and fully enclosed tunnels or slides in the design. Do not include clear plastic panels or clear bubbles in the design.
