1. To crown and head out branches to remove weight and promote new growth and lower tree height by approx. 30% + or — Detailed Crowning of trees will be assessed and done on a per tree Basis. 2. To remove all dead and diseased broken branches. 3. To trim by the Drop-Crotch pruning method no stubs over 1” 4. Any live branches that are to be removed, will be done to keep the natural shape of the tree. 5. Contractor to inspect and confirm trees to be trimmed per property and bid according to findings 6. Shall not mutilate or lose the characteristic shape of the tree 7. To assure that all saw cuts are to flush with the parent limbs or trunk of the tree. 8. To assure if trimming diseased trees that that equipment is disinfected prior to use on another tree 9. Remove mistletoe from trees. 10. To use the three cut techniques to prevent splintering or peeling of bark. 11. To use appropriate methods of lowering branches that have been cut by rope lift or other approved method to avoid damage to lower branches that will be forming the new crown of the tree and to any personal or owner property or utilities. 12. Must leave sufficient percentage of tree branches to enable the tree to maintain a healthy growth pattern. 13. Top growth shall not be reduced by an amount greater than permissible for the species. 14. Remove all debris associated with the trimming or removal of the trees and dispose of at the proper recycling facility. 15. Shall ensure that safe work practices are being followed and that all barricades, signs, lights and other protective devices shall be installed and maintained in conformity with applicable statutory requirements. 16. Shall keep the project site clean as possible at all times there will be no stockpiling of debris. 17. Shall stump grind trees that are to be removed to a depth of 6 to 12 below grade and backfill hole to the existing grade. Contractor to verify location of utilities prior to stump grinding. 18. Shall schedule work between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Any change in work schedule has to be approved by the Fresno Housing Maintenance and Construction Project Manager. Shall verify all trees that are to be trimmed or removed with the Fresno Housing. 19. Shall maintain over street clearance of a min of 16’ above the paved surface and 15’ above the curb and 8’ above the surface of private or public sidewalks. Maintain a minimum of 8’ away from residents measured horizontally from the edge of the roof and 10-12’ from roof vertically if possible. 20.
