THIS PROJECT INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING MAJOR ITEMS OF WORK: 1. POTHOLE REPAIRS: this item shall include all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to repair potholes along various roadways in midland county as shown on the plans as follows: square and vertical saw cutting an area (size and locations as shown on the plans) and removing unsuitable material; processing and compacting the subbase; providing, placing, processing, compacting, and finishing base material; apply a tack coat/prime coat; and placing 3-inches thick minimum of HMAC electric heated to 140°F material to match existing pavement. Ensure that water does not pond on new patch. The finished patch area shall have a crown of 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch. This work shall be done before the seal coat is placed. 2. SEAL COAT: this item includes all the materials, equipment, and labor necessary to install a single-course seal coat as specified below on the full width of the repaired road surface. 3. MATERIAL FOR USE BY MIDLAND COUNTY ROAD & BRIDGE (COUNTY STOCKPILE): the contractor will procure, haul, and stockpile Grade 4 aggregate at a location (or locations) provided by Midland County for use by the Midland County Road & Bridge Department.
