Contractor shall provide, delivery, install and have new generator operating as per manufacturers specification and final acceptance by the City within ninety (90) one-hundred and twenty (120) calendar days from receipt of a Purchase Order. Damage Contractor will restore any landscaping, asphalt, concrete, etc. disturbed by the removal and installation to its original state and approved alternative. Any damage to the City’s property caused by the installation of the generator shall be repaired at the contractor’s expense. Removal Prior to disconnecting old generator, Contractor shall ensure that the City’s portable generator has been installed and functioning normally so that City building, or facility will have backup electrical power if required. Contractor shall properly disconnect and remove the existing generator and related switch gear, controls and fuel lines, etc. Contractor is responsible for all equipment and cost associated with removing and disposing of each generator and related equipment. However, the City does retain the right to keep generator(s) for re-purposing or parts. Installation and Acceptance Contractor will make all connections to the buildings or facilitates panel boxes, required interface with appropriate electric company. Installation shall be performed by contractors’ employees or subcontractors that hold all required licenses. New generator and related equipment shall meet or exceed all Federal and Local code requirements. Installation shall be in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions as well as instruction included in the listing or labeling of the UL listed products. All electrical wiring and cabling shall be as specified by the manufacturer. All electrical wiring and cabling installation shall comply with all local codes and regulations. Installation shall comply with applicable state and local codes and if applicable meet approval of inspectors. Verification of voltage and phase rotation pre and post-test. Shall perform any and all tests after installation to ensure proper operation of all equipment. Coordinate and execute all local and state inspection and test requirements to include securing operating permits if applicable. Additionally, the contractor will provide field acceptance testing which will include a full load testing for (two (2) hours at 100% with an electrical inspector on site. If needed a portable load bank will be provided by the contract at no cost to the City. Contractor will provide reports to the City after conclusion of test/start-up.
