The Wise Center has been the home of the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at MSU since 1981. Though improvements have been made over the years, CVM must expand and renovate its clinical facilities to continue excellence in teaching, research and clinical service. The proposed additions and renovations will occur over multiple years in phases and each phase could include a new cattle handling facility, new farm animal hospital, a renovated equine hospital, a clinical research addition, an expanded small animal hospital, and infrastructure improvements, and systems modernizations. The initial two projects will include: Project A: Farm Animal Hospital Total Project Budget: $18,000,000 ~22,500 Sq Ft Addition to the south of the Wise Center which includes a cattle barn, farm animal hospital, rural veterinary practice, and an equine entrance. Project B: Laminitis Research Clinic Total Project Budget: $10,000,000 ~14,000 Sq Ft addition to the west of the Wise Center which includes a laminitis research clinic.
