OUTER SHELL MATERIAL - COATS & TROUSERS The outer shell shall be constructed of TENCATE "PIONEER™" featuring ENFORCE™ Technology. This is a fiber blend of DuPont™ Kevlar® and Nomex® having an approximate weight of 6.6 oz. per square yard in a twill weave. The PIONEER fabric shall be FREEFAS by TENCATE. THERMAL INSULATING LINER - COATS & TROUSERS The thermal liner shall be constructed of 7.4 oz. per square yard Safety Components GLIDE™ ICE 2L-E89; one layer of 1.5 oz. and one layer of 2.3 oz. per square yard E 89™ spunlaced Nomex®/Kevlar® aramid blend, quiltstitched to a 60% Nomex® Filament/40% Nomex®/Lenzing spun yarn Face Cloth. The thermal liner shall be attached to the moisture barrier and bound together by bias-cut Neoprene coated cotton/polyester around the perimeter. This provides superior abrasion resistance to the less expensive, less durable “stitch and turn” method. A 7 inch by 9-inch pocket shall be affixed to the inside of the jacket thermal liner on the left side. MOISTURE BARRIER - COATS & TROUSERS The moisture barrier material shall be STEDFAST (STEDAIR7 3000) ePTFE moisture barrier is engineered using an E-89J substrate and BHA Technologies ePTFE membrane, with an approximate weight of 5.5 oz. per square yard. The moisture barrier material shall meet all moisture barrier requirements of NFPA 1971, which includes water penetration resistance, viral penetration resistance, and common chemical penetration resistance.
