1. Corrosion Inspection, Evaluation, Analysis and Report Preparation a. Field inspection, condition evaluation and failure analysis of concrete, steel, metals and other materials used to construct wastewater assets; including corrosion studies, materials testing and structural analysis. b. Concrete, steel, metals and other materials evaluation during preliminary engineering phase. c. Plan and specifications preparation for construction. d. Field inspection and consulting services during construction to assure conformance with contract specifications, industry standards, and regulatory codes. e. Concrete testing including chloride ion concentration, pH gradient testing, sulfate concentration testing and petrographic examination testing capabilities. 2. Cathodic Protection, Painting and Coating Systems Evaluation a. Advice on protective coatings and linings for concrete, steel, metals and other materials. b. Painting and coatings system review, selection and specification preparation. c. Painting and coating evaluation, assessment, analytical testing and report preparation. d. Design and inspection of active and passive cathodic protection systems. e. Inspect, test, and verify proper operation of the Authority’s existing cathodic protection systems for subaqueous steel pipelines. 3. Training a. Training manual preparation. b. Conduct training classes at the Authority’s facilities relating to inspection, evaluation, installation and corrosion engineering principals; such as, wastewater corrosion basics, condition assessment of concrete, coatings selection, and protective coatings inspection. c. Field instruction at the Authority’s facilities, relating to inspection, application and installation of materials used in the wastewater industry, protective coatings inspection, condition assessment of concrete, basic metals/alloys/coatings corrosion mechanisms.
