Specific services required are as follows: 1. Structural Engineering Design, Inspection, Evaluation, Analysis and Report Preparation: a. Field inspection, condition evaluation and failure analysis of reinforced concrete, steel, fiber reinforced plastic and timber structures; including structural analysis. b. Plan and specification preparation for projects to be publicly advertised in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law. c. Review of contractor submittals for compliance with plans and specifications. d. Attendance and participation in project progress meetings on an as-needed basis. e. Field inspection and consulting services during construction to assure conformance with contract specifications, industry standards, and regulatory codes. Services may include, but not be limited to, preparation of bid review and recommendation, shop drawing review, review of requests for clarification and interpretation, site inspections, progress meeting attendance, change order support preparation, cost estimates, and contract closeout. f. Material selection and failure analysis services. 2. Roofing systems evaluation: a. Field inspection, condition evaluation and failure analysis on existing roofing systems, with a particular emphasis on root cause of failure and expected remaining life. Report preparation including compliance with current building codes, National Roofing Contractors Association Manual for Inspection and Maintenance of Built-Up and Modified Bitumen Roof Systems. 3. Architectural Support Services: a. Field inspection, evaluation, and report preparation for facilities in need of revision, repair, rehabilitation and modification; for instance, changes due to revisions to building codes such as Americans with Disabilities Act compliance. b. Plan and specification preparation for projects to be publicly advertised in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law. c. Review of contractor submittals for compliance with plans and specifications. d. Attendance and participation in project progress meetings on an as-needed basis. e. Field inspection and consulting services during construction to assure conformance with contract specifications, industry standards, and regulatory codes.
