IV. SCOPE OF WORK AND REQUIREMENTS Respondents must demonstrate experience in the Services, which includes, but may not be limited to the following tasks: 4.1 General Consulting Services ● Provide geotechnical engineering services to the SFUSD Bond Programs working collaboratively with SFUSD Bond Program staff and design team. ● Work within applicable sections of the Bond Program Procedures and Standards (Procedures + Standards), including general program information, design standards, and various procedures and processes that apply to the delivery of bond projects. 4.2 Geotechnical Engineering Services San Francisco school sites are often on multiple levels with complex slopes and terraces. The geotechnical consultant will be required to study these complex sites and provide a geotechnical report, as well as any other reports or analyses as required by the project to the District for use in the planning, design and construction of all Bond Program projects. ● Reports must be prepared and signed by a California registered geotechnical engineer in consultation with a California certied engineering geologist. Provide copies of California certicates with the SOQ ● The scope of each contract will be specic for the site and project. Most of the projects include elements that improve accessibility (ADA, CBC) such as ramps, walkways, etc. Some will include new elevators, new classroom buildings, and seismic upgrades ● Services may include preparing a geologic hazard report as required by DSA IR A-4.13 “Geologic Hazard Report Requirements” (or subsequent IRs), a geotechnical investigation, and assistance in the seismic studies, and coordinating submittals to the California Geological Survey as applicable ● The geotechnical engineer shall determine under which Seismic Category the project falls. If determined to be required for the project, in accordance with 3 current CBC and ASCE 7-10, the scope shall include a site-specic ground motion analysis ● Scope of work shall include fees related to review of the 100% CD Structural drawings to conrm compliance with the recommendations of the geotechnical report ● Services will also include construction oversight services including but not limited to: reviews of contractor submittals for compliance with design intent, observation of soil placement and compaction, and providing the necessary evaluation and signatures required by DSA Form 293 (Geotechnical Veried Report) as required by DSA IR 17-7 (or subsequent IRs). A DSA/LEA number will be needed to fulll the requirement of DSA Form 293
