Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments The firm retained will be responsible for completing a Phase I ESA for the identified 1,051.21-acre site surrounding the Foothills Regional Airport at 3566 Morganton Lenoir Airport Avenue, Morganton, NC 28655. Tasks should include but are not limited to: • Conduct a Phase I ESA for the following parcels: o 2726652528 o 2726529008 o 2726813457 o 2726930887 o 2725491756 o 2725692976 o 2726239834 o 2726330333 o 2725181659 • Within 30 days of the Notice-to-Proceed, provide three copies of the Phase I ESA report in both print and electronic formats. • Review background and historical information such as aerial photographs, topographic maps, and previous environmental reports for indications of past and present use of the site. • If necessary, conduct a Phase II ESA. This should include any appropriate testing for environmental hazards such as lead, asbestos, radon, underground or above-ground storage tanks, and any other environmental hazards. No drilling, sampling, etc. shall occur without first obtaining written consent. • If a Phase II ESA is deemed necessary, three copies of the report should be made available in both print and electronic formats.
