A. Strong Hall HVAC System improvements and additions. Added hydronic systems include two (2) new steam to hot water central plant, two (2) chilled water pumping stations connected to the campus loop, and chilled and hot piping distribution to serve all floors of the building. Piping is valved and capped on each floor to allow for future renovations to connect to the central system. Airside systems include three (3) new dedicated outside air units (DOAS) and associated ductwork distribution through to serve all floors of the buildings. The DOAS systems are ducted to each floor to the extent they will be operational. Future renovations will be able to connect to and expand the outside air distribution. New 4-pipe fan coil units provided in areas where existing HVAC systems are displaced by the system additions. B. Modification of the electrical power systems and plumbing systems to support the HVAC renovations. C. New Building Automation System to support newly installed systems. D. The project will be phased to minimize building disruptions with work primarily focused during winter breaks, spring breaks, and summer breaks. Work in the sub-basement may proceed during the school year. Some work areas for alternates 2, 3, and 4 may be completed during the school year as well with work limited to the mechanical room spaces
