Pender County Government offers a range of services, including tax collection, library programs, parks management, planning and permitting, health and human services, and law enforcement. The County operates under the guidance of a five-member Board of Commissioners. As one of the fastest-growing counties in the state, Pender County is also part of one of the nation’s fastest-growing metropolitan areas. While facilities are spread across the County, there are major clusters of facilities in Burgaw and Hampstead. The County owns or leases over 30 facilities and building spaces for its various operational departments. It is also statutorily responsible for providing appropriate facilities for several constitutional offices and functions such as Superior & District Courts, offices of the Clerk of Court, and the District Attorney’s offices. Due to the age of various systems and the amount of usage, as well as advances in technology, upgrades are needed. Pender County seeks a standardized product solution and a preferred vendor to address physical security needs across Pender County facilities. The intent of Pender County IT is to establish a standardization of equipment, as well as contract with a preferred vendor to expand similar services to all county facilities in phases. Pender County is requesting sealed proposals for the provision and installation of Cameras and Door Access Control System throughout Pender County facilities. The immediate need is for the Pender County Courthouse and other facilities are to be slated for future project phases. The purpose of this project is to obtain a uniform system to efficiently address all physical security needs. This is a bid to award for a preferred vendor and preferred equipment for the life of the equipment and system within current and future facilities. This RFP outlines the technical, operational, and service requirements for the project, as well as the evaluation criteria to be used in selecting the vendor.
