The International Parkway Bridge is located on International Parkway between I-205 and I-580 and crosses the Delta Mendota Canal, owned by the Federal Bureau of Reclamation. The new bridge consists of two spans. The northbound span is 44 feet wide (2 through lanes and a 12-foot-wide Class I bike path) and the southbound span is 48 feet wide (2 through lanes, one left turn lane, and a 6-foot-wide raised sidewalk). The new bridge is a new construction to replace an existing 34-foot wide 2-lane bridge. The existing bridge consists of one lane north bound and one lane southbound, with shoulders and no sidewalks. The length of the new bridge span is 151 feet. There is a 2-foot separation between northbound and southbound spans. The area of the northbound span is 6,654 square feet and the area of the southbound span is 7,259 square feet. Both spans slope from south to north at 0.6% longitudinal slope and a 2.0% cross slope. The City of Tracy proposes to replace the existing 152-foot long, two lane International Parkway Bridge over the Delta Mendota Canal with two new single span structures in combination with retaining walls and approach improvements. The International Parkway Bridge Replacement and Expansion Project construction is funded in part by a Grant Award through the Economic Development Administration.
