Conduct geotechnical investigation in the project area to ensure that existing soil characteristics are suitable for infiltration and provide structural/integrity assessment of existing storm drain facilities. Conduct inventory and assessment of existing storm drain infrastructure, including pipes, culverts, catch basins, and outfalls All calculations, reports, and plans must be signed and stamped by a California Registered Civil Engineer. All such registrations shall be current Evaluate othe condition, capacity, and performance of the storm drain system and identify flood-prone areas and drainage issues. Perform underground utility research and request current underground utility as-built with original plan, and develop an updated substructure plan Perform technical specifications, construction drawings, probable cost estimate, and any other documents deemed necessary as determined by the consultant, and approved by the City Engineer. Conduct comprehensive inventory of existing drainage facilities including review of asbuilt from the LA County Public Works Flood Control District and Caltrans. Design Low Impact Developments (LID) Best Management Practices (BMPs) to improve water quality, water resilience and watershed protection in the adjacent Compton Creek mitigate the effects of erosion and the inherent potential for sedimentation and other pollutants entering the storm water system Perform hydraulic calculations to determine deficiencies in the existing Storm drain system including acceptable street capacities based on the LA County requirements Identify street segments, and develop complete and comprehensive construction documents. Prepare Bid Sheet and Bid Sheet explanations to align with the new construction cost estimate provided.
