3.1 Canine should be from 18 to 30 months of age. (This may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis). 3.2 Canine must be an intact male or female. (German Shephard, Dutch Shepard, or Malinois) 3.3 Canine must come with a written replacement guarantee for hips, knees and elbows. 3.4 Canine must have written “NO Cost” general health replacement guarantee for a minimum of one year from the date of graduation from initial training. 3.5 Canine must come with a written “NO Cost” retraining/replacement clause for any problems that cannot be corrected by local level training. 3.6 Canine teams must be trained to a level of proficiency that will allow the teams to be certified as a narcotic/patrol dog team with the North American Working Dog Association, NAPWDA or International Police Work Dog Association, IPWDA.
