• Improve access to the park by prioritizing the three trailheads and infrastructure. • Restore the native desert by hydro-seeding and land sculpting disturbed areas. • Rehab and revegetate closed and scarred areas. • Install native landscape within the trailhead locations. • Close the existing access road to the water reservoir and upper ramada overlook to all but service vehicle access and make a “silent road” for hikers and biking. • Provide primary and secondary trailheads with breezeway, prefabricated restrooms, and shade structures. • Provide entry monuments, vehicular directional signage, and wayfinding trail signs. • Provide historic and environmental interpretive signs. • Construct new asphalt parking lots with concrete curbing. • Remove existing restrooms and ramadas at trailhead locations. • Decommission non-functional facilities. • Connect to the City of Phoenix potable water and sewer systems at the 55th Avenue and Pinnacle Peak Trailhead. • Connect to the City of Glendale sewer system at the 67th Avenue and Patrick Lane Trailhead. • Tie into existing City of Glendale potable waterlines and re-route per new layout at the 59th Avenue and 67th Avenue Trailheads. • Install Automatic Entry Gates at all trailhead locations. • Cut-In new trail connections.
