A. The project is fundamentally a fuel conversion from #2 fuel oil to natural gas for the steam heating boiler at the Ellsworth School – Board of Education (BOE) Offices at 1737 Main Street in South Windsor, CT. In general, the existing steam boiler in the building will have the oil burner replaced with a new gas burner and new gas piping shall be provided from the Eversource gas meter to the connections to the burners. The existing boiler is used for space heating and is as follows: 1. HB Smith Boiler, Series 28A, Serial No. N2004-304 with Powerflame Model C3-O oil burner, Serial No. 090518547. B The project also includes the removal of one underground fuel oil storage tank and associated piping and fuel inventory wiring from the tank to the building and all excavation, backfilling, regrading, pavement and lawn repair and all required soil testing, disposal and filing of state and federal documentation. 1. The existing tank is a 4,000-gallon double wall fiberglass tank for #2 fuel oil. 2.
