De-escalation training for our natural resource enforcement staff to assist with achieving compliance through efficient, safe and effective communications training from industry professionals. The communications training should have workflow steps to increase consistency on how staff interface with the public, robust instructor to staff interactions, testing of any steps or recommended workflows for de-escalation and be taught by enforcement professionals. The Department seeks this training for its staff to both promote more safe and effective enforcement as well as increase safety, decrease complaints, increase compliance processes and timelines and potentially mitigate lawsuits. Training must be in-person for three training workshops, each lasting 1 to 3 days in duration.
