It is the intent of the Township of Bloomfield to solicit Qualification Statements from Respondents that have expertise in providing Municipal Auditor Services. The Municipal Auditor shall be a public accountant of the State of New Jersey and have the designation of Registered Municipal Accountant (RMA). The Auditor shall audit the books, accounts and financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. The Auditor shall assist with the preparation of the municipal budget, and shall be available to attend meetings, including committee meetings, staff meetings and public hearings, if requested. The Auditor shall assist with preparation of the Annual Financial Statement and Annual Debt Statement.
