1. Represent the Township of Bloomfield Rent Control Board in all legal matters and shall advise and assist the Rent Control Board, the Township Administrator and the Departments as required in the administration of Township Government. 2. Must be available to provide information to Rent Control Board Personnel, Landlords, and tenants regarding the Township’s Rent Control Ordinance and any laws governing the implementation of that Ordinance; 3. Appear at all regularly scheduled and special meetings of the Rent Leveling Board and must be able to give opinions and rulings on questions of law which may arise at the meetings; 4. Represent the Township Rent Control Board in any litigation, and conduct trials, appeals and other proceedings affecting the interest of the Township Rent Control Board as may be necessary, subject to the direction of the Township Attorney and approval of the Board and the Township of Bloomfield. 5. Assist the Township Attorney in the coordination of any necessary efforts; 6. Interact with the Township Administration on related legal issues; 7. When requested, reply to inquiries from residents and/or commercial enterprises; 8. All other duties prescribed by applicable law, subject to the review and approval of the Rent Control Board.
