The Township of Bloomfield is seeking qualifications from Law Firms and Attorneys interested in being considered for the position of Special Prosecutor. The Special Prosecutor will primarily handle DWI prosecutions in the Bloomfield Municipal Court and provide services to the Law Department of the Township of Bloomfield. All applicants must designate an individual who is a member of the New Jersey Bar and has a minimum of five (5) years’ experience handling DWI matters in New Jersey or, in the alternative, evidence of extensive municipal court experience. The Township will award a Contract amount not to exceed $50,000 annually. The Court typically schedules two (2) special DWI sessions per week, which may vary between in-person and remote appearances.
