A. The strategic plan must be developed with feedback from the following. 1. Leadership/managerial staff 2. Frontline staff 3. Board of Health 4. Community members 5. Community partners 6. City Departments a. Mayor’s Office b. Community Services Administration c. Board of Education B. Community Conversations – The general public must be provided the opportunity to provide input on the Health Department’s strategic plan. One of the formats used for gathering community input must be in-person sessions, conducted in English and Spanish, at relevant community locations (i.e., libraries, faith-based organizations, etc.). Copies of meeting minutes and sign-in sheets must be provided to the Health Department. C. Live Sketching/Graphic Recording – During in-person and/or virtual input sessions from groups of stakeholders, live sketching/graphic recording should be used. Photographs or videos of the live sketching or graphic recording must be provided to the Health Department. D. In addition to Live Sketching/Graphic Recording, at least one other tool or technique should be used to in the planning process. This could include, brainstorming, structured facilitation, storyboarding, etc. Copies of meeting minutes and sign-in sheets must be provided to the Health Department. E. Identification of the Department’s internal strengths and challenges (e.g., strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats (SWOT) analysis, strengths, opportunities, aspirations, results (SOAR) analysis, etc.) F. Identification of the external trends, events, and other factors that impact community health or the health department. G. Assessment of the Health Department’s workforce development, communications, finance and information technology. H. Prioritization of strategic priorities.
