Scope of Work: The City of Morgan Hill is seeking qualified California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) Class “B” general building contractors to provide on-call construction and repair services for city buildings and facilities. The City anticipates awarding contracts to approximately three to six general contractors. All contracts awarded will be of the same terms. The selected general contractor(s) will be the prequalified pool of on-call general contractors who are eligible to respond to work proposal requests for construction and repair work up to $75,000 for the City of Morgan Hill. The on-call general contractors construction services contracts will have a two-year term and shall have the option for three (3) consecutive one (1) year extensions, under the same terms and conditions. Each contract’s not-to-exceed amount is anticipated to be $220,000 for the initial two-year term. Projects will be initiated by issuing Work Order requests under the contract. The optional three (3) one-year extensions may increase the annual amount of the contract by an amount not more than 105% of the prior year’s annual amount. The initial annual amount is $110,000 per year. Individual Work Orders for on-call construction and repair services for this contract will not exceed $75,000 each. For any Work Order more than $25,000, Contractor will need to provide a payment and performance bond for 100% of the Work Order price using the bond forms provided by the City. On-call projects will be initiated by the City issuing a Proposal Request Worksheet describing the scope of work to the selected on-call general contractors. The City anticipates requesting project proposals from more than one on-call general contractor for each scope of work. Actual contractor usage will vary and be based upon ability and need. A Work Order will be issued to the selected contactor to initiate work on a specific project.
