The Molalla River School District Replacement Middle School will be located on the site of the Existing Molalla River Middle School located at 318 Leroy Avenue, Molalla Oregon. The new facility will be constructed on the Northside of the existing property, where play fields are currently located. The existing school located on the South side of the property will be demolished once the new school is ready for occupancy allowing for completion of the proposed athletic fields and parking. The Proposed 115,000 sf Facility will be designed to serve a 6th, 7th, and 8th grade population of 700 students. The building will include instructional spaces for General Classrooms, Science Labs, Career and Technical Education (CTE), Athletics and PE programming, Fine and Performing Arts with small Studio Theater, Life Skills with Specialized Instruction spaces, a Commons and Food Service, Library, and Administration and Counseling Center. Site improvements include the abatement and demolition of the existing Middle School, drives, and walkways. The scope of new site improvements will include staff and visitor parking, bus loading and service areas, pedestrian paths, both natural and artificial turf play fields, play equipment, and fencing. New utility extensions will include Water, Sanitary, Storm, Gas, and Electricity. The extent of public improvements to adjacent roadways along Lynn, Leroy, West, and Hezzie lanes are pending final confirmation from City of Molalla.
