Professional legal services for the Hillsborough Township Board of Health which is an autonomous Board of Health. The following minimum threshold requirements that will be utilized in the solicitation of persons and/or firms to be considered for this contract: 1. Admission to the New Jersey Bar for a minimum of ten (10) years. 2. Has a multidisciplinary law practice in the area of civil matters for a minimum of ten (10) years. 3. Has experience in appearing before administrative agencies and the courts. 4. Has demonstrable experience in the representation of public bodies, including but not limited to Counties, Municipalities, State of New Jersey, or Boards or instrumentalities of the County and the State. 5. Is licensed to practice in New Jersey for assistance in interpreting, developing, and/or guiding the enforcement of public health laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances, as per Title 8 Health Chapter 52, Public Health Practice Standards of Performance for Local Boards of Health in New Jersey. 6. Has knowledge of NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection laws, the NJ State Sanitary Code, and Chapter 52, Public Health Practice Standards for Local Boards of Health in New Jersey. 7. Has experience in ordinance development and implementation 8. Has experience in writing contracts 9. Is available for meetings that are usually held once per month and for periodic consultation and or assistance in court. 10. Designation of the specific attorney that will handle matters for the Hillsborough Board of Health and any permanent change in that designation requires 30 days advance notice. The Township reserves the right to terminate the contract if the Township deems the change in designation is not in the Township’s best interest.
