1.1. Arizona State Parks & Trails (ASPT) is developing a website and mobile application to enhance trail experiences throughout Arizona. The project involves updating and maintaining a recreational trails geodatabase and mapping solution that will allow users to search, explore and view trails throughout the state. 1.2. The purpose of the Arizona State Parks Statewide Trails website and application is to provide trail users with a powerful, comprehensive, free mapping and navigation resource that includes all motorized and non- motorized trails throughout the state. 1.3. This project is designed to accomplish the following specific objectives; 1.3.1. Provide a free geospatial map solution that includes location technology and navigation capabilities regardless of connectivity. 1.3.2. Deliver authoritative information about recreational trails in a spatial context so that visitors and residents can discover and explore recreational trail experiences across Arizona. 1.3.3. Display all Arizona trails and trailheads and on a map within both Android and iOS environments. 1.3.4. Work with land managing agencies to update and maintain the statewide trails database.
