Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, incidentals, equipment, tools, coordination, supervision, transportation, and disposal services for the overhaul of the Daiken/McQuay chiller model # C3612BPYY2-D, serial # 506J00400. The Chiller Overhaul will need to be completed prior to the cooling season startup (April 2025). Contractor shall be solely responsible for risk assessments, managing health and safety issues associated with this project. Contractor is responsible for the following: Recovery of the refrigerant per EPA guidelines and weigh charge. Eddy current condenser and evaporator tubes and provide a report of analysis. After analysis is concluded, if repairs are deemed necessary for the inspected system to operate correctly or to keep the system in code compliance, this contract shall also cover these repairs upon written approval from the Office of the Illinois Secretary of State at the time and materials rates as specified herein. Rebuild the compressor on the chiller to factory operating standards using all new parts and incidentals. Reassemble the compressor. Upgrade the control panel to the most up to date Daikin controllers, HMI panel, and software. Leak check the chiller and equipment after the overhaul is completed. Pull vacuum on the chiller to ensure it is operating at the factory recommended levels. Charge chiller with recovered refrigerant, if additional refrigerant is required, contact Secretary of State for balance as we stock R134A in house. Reinsulate the chiller and paint any area on the chiller that is damaged during the overhaul of the chiller. Provide startup and testing and recommissioning of the chiller and verify proper factory operation. Contractor shall provide principal with a detailed written report of the work performed. Contractor shall provide a parts and labor warranty on chiller for (1) one year upon completion of the project. Contractor shall not proceed with making repairs which will result in extra billing until authorized to do so by ILSOS Purchasing. Authorization to make such repairs must be in writing. In the event of emergency repairs, the Office of the Secretary of State may give verbal approval to proceed followed up by a written authorization request. The Contractor is responsible to within compliance of applicable Building Codes. Work shall be executed in accordance with the fixed, unit price, project schedule, and applicable codes.
