● The City of Asheville is currently soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced companies for the installation of owner-supplied routers and antennas on 34 City buses. ● The project consists of roof installations of the antennas, the electrical connections for the routers, and installing the routers; to include any necessary power cabling, mounting brackets/hardware, sealant, etc (must be itemized in cost proposal). ● All work to be done on-site at the City Transit garage. ● Proposals should include a project schedule that minimizes the impact on the Transit fleet operations with a maximum of 3 out of service at any given time. The City of Asheville expects the project to be completed with sixty (60) days of contract award. ● Transit garage operating schedule is 5:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. Monday-Saturday and 7.00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. on Sunday. There is also the possibility to work beyond the operating schedule if preferred.
