The Burke County Board of Commissioners is soliciting proposals from qualified aerial mapping contractors for the production of color digital orthophotography. The imagery shall capture all county-wide areas at 6” GSD orthos and 6” GSD obliques. The photography will be flown no later than March 15th, 2025, with (leaf-off) at 6” GSD covering the entire county. The NAD83, State Plane, Georgia East, FIPS 1001 (US Survey Feet), projection will be used to generate digital ortho photography 6” GSD (ground sample distance) covering approximately 827 number of square miles of area (Area Estimated). It will be the vendor’s responsibility to determine actual square miles to be flown. The precise components in the selected aerial flyover shall include: • 6” GSD oblique and orthogonal photography • Images captured with a small-format camera • Oblique and ortho web viewer for image hosting should include: o Measurement capabilities including height, distance, area, etc. o Overlay all county’s GIS data with ability to search, view, and identify o Ability to annotate text, circles, lines, etc. o The user shall be able to pan from one image to any adjacent image. o Image print and export functions o Hosting of county’s 2011, 2016, and 2020 oblique imagery
