The sale area is located approximately five and one half (5 1/2) miles north of Sterling, GA off Pennick Road and interior WMA roads. Location is described more precisely on the attached maps. Location is further described by Georgia Atlas & Gazetteer page 63, block C6. This timber sale consists of 100 acres of planted loblolly pine to be thinned by operator selection (see contract for further harvest specifications). Forest products included in this sale are pine pulpwood, pine chip & saw, pine saw timber, pine poles and incidental hardwood. The total volume estimate is 7,000 tons. Product volumes will not be announced. Buyers are encouraged to make their own estimate of product breakdown. Sale boundaries are marked with a single vertical mark of orange paint.
