Seeking proposals to design and engineer the structural needs for two (2) new vehicle automatic gates and one (1) pedestrian gate. These professional services may be defined as electrical and mechanical engineering, structural engineering, site and civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, and other tasks not defined or mentioned herein. The project involved Federal funding. The selected team should have experience with FTA-funded projects, including provisions of the Davis Bacon Act and FTA’s Buy America requirements. These new gates will be located at our Raleigh Transit Operations Facility located on 4104 Poole Rd and will replace ones where over the last twelve (12) years has had numerous issues and had to be rebuilt nearly every year. The facility has the entrance to the bus garage on 806 Bus Way and houses roughly 120 buses, in which nearly 100 of them are used for daily service. GoRaleigh also has upwards of 31 support vehicles ranging in pickup trucks and sedans that are used numerous times daily.
