1. Substance Use Assessment A substance use assessment shall be completed if the SU Screening Tool indicates substance use. The SU Screening Tool, DAST-10, is completed by CCCF’s medical provider, CFG. The selected vendor will be required to administer the SU Assessment, the Addiction Severity Index. The purpose of the assessment is to determine the severity of substance use and develop specific recommendations to address the diagnosis. Additionally, the SU Screening results must be electronically recorded to be utilized for data collection and reporting purposes. All data must exclude key identifiers and be consistent with HIPPA standards. 2. Education on Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) The vendor shall provide MOUD education for all non-medical staff working in the CCCF consistent with the NCCHC’s Jail-Based Medication-Assisted Treatment, Promising Practices, Guidelines, and Resources for the Field as well as incarcerated individuals receiving substance use counseling services. MOUD education can be provided both in groups and individually. The vendor must provide a proposed schedule for providing MOUD education during the contract period. Vendor must also provide experience providing MOUD education to identified populations.
