Northern Kentucky University seeks a design team to coordinate design for renewal and renovation of Landrum Academic Center. Landrum is a 100,500 gross square foot building constructed in 1976 at a cost of $4.9M. The five-story academic section of the building is 83,000 GSF and the remaining square footage is in the two-story ‘annex’ section which includes Central Receiving, Mail Services (first floor) and the former Print Shop space (second floor), now used for storage. The Old Power Plant directly adjoins the Landrum Annex on its east side. Landrum is the smallest of NKU’s academic buildings. The University seeks a local (within 150 miles) architectural firm to lead this project. Some programming and space planning assistance is needed and is detailed below. A national design consultant is optional but not required for the schematic and design phases. Additional points will not be given in the selection scoring for a national partnership. If a national architectural consultant is part of the team, please be specific about the role of that firm on your team, i.e. define how design responsibilities will be shared.
