It is the intent of these specifications to furnish the City of Valdosta with 4, 6, and 8 cubic yard Front Loading Containers. 4 Cubic Yard Container SIDES 1) All four sides are constructed of a minimum of 12 gauge steel. Front to have two vertical “V” crimps. FLOOR 1) Floor is to be constructed with 10 gauge steel. 2) A minimum of two skids shall be secured under the container using 7 gauge steel and front to back with cap that extends 4” up container. 3) A 1 ½ drain plug shall be included. SLEEVES 1) Sleeves are to be constructed of 7 gauge and be of adequate length and reinforced (minimum of 6 gussets) to support the weight of a loaded container (minimum 24 inches). LIDS 1) Shall be black, double wall high density polyethylene resin with two for each container. WARRANTY 1) Please state the warranty and provide any literature available on the container you are bidding: DELIVERY 1) Bid price is to include delivery for each unit. The City reserves the right to order in quantities that best benefit the City. PAINT 1) Primed inside and out with appropriate rust inhibiting primer. 2) Undercoat inside bottom and 6 inches on each side. 3) Finished coat of industrial enamel inside and out with the City having the final color choice. Include color chart in bid proposal. 4, 6, and, 8 Cubic Yard Slant Lid and New Style Design Container SIDES 1) Shall be constructed of a minimum of 12 gauge steel. Front have “V” crimps for added reinforcement. Reinforced with minimum 3/8 “ x 4” flat bar. FLOOR 1) Floor is to be constructed of 10 gauge steel. 2) Shall have three 7 gauge skids secured under the container that run from front to back. 3) A 1 ½ inch drain plug is to be included. SLEEVES 1) Sleeves are to be constructed of 7 gauge and be of adequate length and reinforced (minimum of 6 gussets) to support the weight of a loaded container (minimum of 34 inches. LIDS 1) Shall be black, double wall high density polyethylene resin with two for each container. 2) Shall be slanted as to allow water to run off. PAINT 1) Primed inside and out with appropriate rust inhibiting primer. 2) Undercoat inside bottom and 6 inches on each side. 3) Finished coat of industrial enamel inside and out with the City having the final color choice. Include color chart in bid proposal. DELIVERY 1) Bid price is to include delivery for each unit. The City reserves the right to order in quantities that best benefit the City but will make every attempt at ordering full loads. Delivery is FOB Valdosta, GA with delivery charges figured in price. 3) No additional freight or fuel surcharges will be allowed.
