1. The current website uses a unique sign on for each user that is based on the email address that they provide at account creation. Users will use the State’s Identity Provider (Section 3.3) and have role-based access. 2. Some users are quarterly, and some are monthly based on preference. They then identify the period that they are reporting for and enter either total bushels, total value, or both depending on which commodity they are remitting for. The current website then calculates the total due based on their entries. 3. The user then has the option to either file and pay now via E-check or Visa/Mastercard or save and pay later. The save and pay later option allows them to send a payment in the mail or log back in a later time to finish electronically. The responder must be Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant. 4. Once they have entered the return the system generates an email receipt that goes to all admins and the user. As we currently use a third party for the payment, this is a verification that a payment was made. 5. The returns entered are stored in the system to be viewed by admins, commodities, or the users later. Currently it stores all filed returns and does not delete them. 6. For the administration side of the website, we have certain additional features. a. Ability to manually create new entities. b. Manually enter returns that come in via mail and then upload/attach supporting documents to the return prior to saving. c. Amend previously filed returns manually. d. The current system has very limited reporting functions.
