Located within Rhodes Science Center, Building B, #1503, this project involves spatial reorganization or a portion of the building to separate precision biomedical agriculture and precision production agricultural units to meet federal grant requirements and improve process efficiencies, capital renewal of wet laboratories and support spaces and all interior building systems as well as replacement of the entire Building B roof. Mechanical systems are also planned to be reconfigured to ensure odors are properly contained and exhausted. Portions of Building B, including instructional spaces, and temporary spaces for some aspects of the RBC may remain occupied during this renovation and occupant safety, and coordination and logistics of building systems to support these areas are important aspects of the project.
