The St. Lucie County requests qualified contractors, who have successfully completed projects associated with airport paving, to bid on the Reconfigure Taxiways C8 and B and Related Work at Treasure Coast International Airport and Business Park (FPR). Taxiways C8 and B are being removed and a new Taxiway C9 will be constructed with full strength asphalt pavement, in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration Advisory Circular (FAA AC) 150/5300-13B Airport Design. The project’s major construction activities shall include pavement removal; new pavement construction (asphalt, limerock, compacted subgrade); earthwork excavation/grading; stormwater/drainage pipe and structures; airfield electrical lighting; airfield pavement markings; topographic pre-construction and as-built survey; quality control/materials testing; sodding; maintenance of traffic and mobilization/demobilization.
