The Contractor shall provide Flagging Services in accordance with these specifications and as directed by the Engineer. The Engineer will identify the location where Flagging Services are needed. The Engineer, or his duly authorized representative, will monitor the Contractor’s operations on a periodic basis to assure compliance with proper traffic control procedures. The Contractor shall furnish up to two (2) crews consisting of one (1) supervisor, two (2) flaggers, and a vehicle for each crew. Vehicles used within the work area shall be in proper working order, equipped with approved flashing amber light bar not less than 20 inches long, having passed an annual State inspection, and deemed acceptable for highway use. The need for additional flaggers will be determined by the Engineer prior to beginning work at any location and will be paid for as Supplemental Flagging.
