Project Description: The Pensacola Bay Living Shoreline Project is a large-scale coastal restoration and resilience project located in the Lower Pensacola Bay System. The overall project incorporates restoration efforts at three distinct project sites (White Island, Magazine Point, Sherman Inlet). Project Location and Approximate Project Boundaries: Project is located in Escambia County, Florida within nearshore coastal waters adjacent to Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola. Site location map included as an attachment. Project Size: Total project area is approximately 250 acres. Individual acreages for White Island, Magazine Point, and Sherman Inlet are 100, 90, and 60 acres, respectively. Exact project boundaries of each site may require adjustment prior to contract award if necessary to match available budget.
