The work covered by this solicitation consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and supplies; and performing all operations necessary for nuisance abatement on non-maintained private property in the City of Jacksonville, Florida, cited by the Municipal Code Compliance Division for violations of the Jacksonville Property Safety and Maintenance Code. Properties requiring abatement may have buildings and other site improvements existing on the lot or may be undeveloped, vacant land. Properties may also have stands of trees, shrubs, and other vegetation. The abatement work may also include the right-of-ways adjacent to the cited properties. Nuisance abatement includes the cutting, mowing, trimming, pruning, edging, and disposal of overgrown vegetation not in conformance with neighborhood standards; the collection, removal, and clean-up of excessive loose litter, such as bottles, cans, paper, and glass; and the collection, removal and cleanup of debris, including fallen tree branches, old furniture, household appliances, tires, and piles of construction materials such as broken concrete, lumber, plywood, bricks, and metal.
