The County of Volusia wishes to build a 320 foot, three (3) legged self-supporting radio tower at Chuck Lennon Park 5000 Greenfield Dairy Rd. DeLeon Springs, Florida. The tower will be primarily used to support Volusia County’s P25 Public Safety radio system but will be designed “Carrier Heavy” to support other wireless communication services. The tower will include solid leg construction and be designed to collapse into itself should failure conditions arise. The County has included a land survey, soils report, and Geotechnical Engineering study with this scope from a qualified State of Florida-registered professional engineer. The construction site property is owned by the County. The County is furnishing the emergency standby generator. The Contractor will furnish the communications shelter and automatic and manual transfer switches. Lightning protection will include a Spline Ball system as specified in this scope.
