ACC seeks to engage an External Evaluator to conduct evaluation of an NSF funded three-year ITYC project. Minimum requirements for an external evaluator will include experience in evaluating federally funded grant projects in a post-secondary setting, preferably w ith two-year institutions of higher education and including experience with National Science Foundation grant funded projects. An individual evaluator must have a relevant doctoral degree. An evaluation consulting firm must include oversight from a leader with relevant doctoral degree and an evaluation team lead with relevant master's degree. The selected evaluator must have a successful track record of published, peer-reviewed results from prior eva luations. Evaluator who has substantial experience in designing and implementing surveys. Our project requires expertise in creating effective and reliable survey instruments to gather meaningful data. In your submission, please provide information on the previous qualifications in the following areas: • Has a proven track record in survey design and analysis. • Is familiar with various survey methodologies and tools. • Please provide examples of previous work or case studies While some of the evaluation design details may change upon the engagement of a professional expert evaluator, the scope of the engagement will be premised upon the following quantitative and qualitative research questions: • Does the Project's faculty/instructor training, curricula/CURE repository, lab supports result in sustained adoption of CUREs in teaching, confidence in teaching ability, and positive perceptions of staff support? • Do STEM Courses that include CU REs positively or negatively impact student knowledge, learning, attitudes, interest in future research, overall post-secondary experience, course grades, and retention in STEM as compared to peers in non-CU RE courses? • Does participation in STEM courses that include CU REs affect student completion of STEM degrees at ACC and/or rates of transfer into STEM degree programs?
