. ENGINE 6.1. Engine must be a new Chevrolet 350 Hp engine or approved equivalent. Edelbrock 4-barrel performer carburetor and intake required. An 80 amp alternator, non-computer OEM style HEI, and manual fuel pump required. High torque starter is required. Air cleaner shall be Spectre 14” airbox kit #98625. Air cleaner shall have aluminum spacer. All engine parts shall be new or remanufactured. Serpentine drive belts are required and shall be Chevrolet Performance early small block serpentine belt drive package, part #12497697. Fuel lines shall be stainless steel tubing and fuel hoses shall be braided stainless steel. 6.2. Exhaust system shall be quiet and without leaks and is to include a three stage stainless steel muffler with tail pipes that meet or exceed automotive standards. Ceramic coated steel tube exhaust headers are required. Headers shall be JBA 1830S shorty smog headers. Headers shall be reversed to bring exhaust system under deck and exhaust shall be routed to the rear of the buggy and come out at side rear end. Exhaust tubing shall be stainless steel.
