Site Assessment • Conduct a site assessment at each location to determine suitable placement of posts and radar speed signs. • Verify each location meets sightline and setback requirements for optimal visibility and effectiveness. • Mark post locations to ensure proper placement in accordance with traffic regulations and safety standards. Site Preparation • Clear any vegetation, debris, or obstructions in the designated installation areas. • Ensure the ground is leveled and prepared for post anchoring. • Verify underground utilities are clear and obtain any necessary permits before installation. Post Installation • Provide and install galvanized steel posts suitable for outdoor use, capable of withstanding weather conditions and wind loads. • Posts should be a minimum of 8 feet in height to ensure radar signs are visible to oncoming traffic. • Use concrete foundations or pre-fabricated anchor systems to secure the posts, ensuring stability and durability. • Install posts at the proper height and distance from the roadside as per manufacturer and traffic safety guidelines.
